Community outreach & festival activations – program producer
Nobel Week Lights, Stockholm, 2025
Outreach Tensta was a community-based cultural production project developed as part of Nobel Week Lights 2025. The project formed the foundation of the Tensta Zone — a new festival area for Nobel Week Lights.
The project focused on building local collaborations and developing participatory activations together with artists, community groups, schools, libraries, and cultural institutions in Tensta. Rather than importing pre-defined content, the festival program was shaped through dialogue, mapping, and co-creation with local actors.
The work included coordinating participatory art workshops with artists, public activities, and guided tours in multiple languages led by local guides. Outreach Tensta approached cultural production as a democratic practice, emphasizing local representation, shared authorship, and long-term relationship-building. The project explored how art festivals can function as platforms for inclusion, visibility, and social reconstruction.
The Tensta Zone received press coverage in local newspaper Mitt i Stockholm, SVT, Nyhetsbyrån Järva and more.
