Pedagogical Projects

The following are a few examples of my pedagogical vision and craftsmanship, where every project tells a unique story through art.

AstroField

Pedagogical art program & artwork – art educator
Nobel Week Lights, Stockholm
2025

AstroField was a pedagogical art program and participatory art installation developed as part of Nobel Week Lights 2025. The project was a collaboration between two Grade 5 classes from Husbygårdsskolan and Digital Creative students from Hyper Island.

Through a series of workshops, the children explored space, exoplanets, and scientific discovery through hands-on creative processes. By combining scientific knowledge with imagination, the participants created their own exoplanets in clay. The children’s sculptures were then transformed into an interactive light installation presented at Sergels torg during the festival.

The project was built on horizontal learning, where scientific, artistic, pedagogical, and digital expertise met on equal terms. AstroField positioned children as active co-creators and demonstrated how pedagogical art practices can function as democratic tools for participation, authorship, and inclusion.

AstroField was featured on TV4 News.

Art Workshop Studio Kollektivet Livet

Workshop series - art educator
Slussen, Stockholm, Sweden
June – August 2025

A series of open summer workshops developed in collaboration with Kollektivet Livet’s pop-up café Fika & Utsikt at the Slussen square in Stockholm.

Participants worked with a range of materials and techniques, including creating piñatas and dreamcatchers. The workshops were free and open to a broad audience.

The project explored how art pedagogy can be integrated into everyday urban environments, where creative processes become part of the city’s flow and social encounters. By situating workshops in a highly accessible public space, the project fostered spontaneous participation, creativity, and community.

The River

Art pedagogical project – project leader & artistic director
Sörmlands Museum, Nyköping
November 2023

The River was an art pedagogical project developed in collaboration with Ung Kraft, where young participants were invited to interpret the museum’s collection and translate their perspectives into a permanent mural in the lunchroom of Sörmlands Museum. The project centered the participants’ own experiences and viewpoints, creating an inclusive artistic process based on dialogue, collective research, and hands-on making.

I was responsible for the overall structure of the project — from planning and methodology to guiding the artistic process. The River demonstrates how art pedagogy can foster participation, long-term ownership, and visibility for young voices within institutional spaces.

Body Map Storytelling

Art pedagogical project – project leader & artistic director
Museum of Ethnography, Stockholm, Sweden
2015–2016

Body Map Storytelling was an pedagogical art project developed in collaboration between the Museum of Ethnography, The Unstraight Museum, and RFSL Newcomers. The project brought together a group of LGBTQ+ refugees who used body mapping as an artistic method to narrate past experiences, present realities, and their migration journeys.

By working with the body as both map and narrative, participants created deeply personal artworks where memory, identity, and lived experience could be expressed visually. Each workshop was marked by strong emotions — grief, joy, empathy, and solidarity — and evolved into a safe space for sharing, listening, and collective strength.

I was responsible for the process, methodology, and the creation of a supportive and caring environment. Several participants described how the workshops helped them process difficult memories, reduce anxiety, and move towards hope and empowerment. The resulting works were exhibited as a satellite exhibition within Playground at the Museum of Ethnography.

Thinking with the Earth

Art pedagogical project – development of public pedagogy
Nynäs Castle, Sweden
2022–2023

Thinking with the Earth was an art pedagogical project exploring the relationship between humans, nature, and place through artistic and participatory methods. The project received the Strålkastare Prize 2023 for its art educational approach.

My role in the project was to develop the public pedagogical component. Through workshops visitors were invited to reflect on soil, materiality, and ecological connections through artistic processes.

The project demonstrated how art pedagogy can bridge art, environmental awareness, and public engagement.

Street Art Flen

Workshop & exhibition – Project leader & Art Educator
Flen Library, Flen, Sweden
July – August 2022

Street Art Flen was an art pedagogical project consisting of a workshop and exhibition, developed in collaboration with Flen Library and centered on the history of Flen. The project invited people of all ages to participate in a collective art-making process in a public setting.

Across three colourful walls, participants designed their own sections using Posca markers, stencils, and acrylic paint. Together, the individual contributions formed a collective mosaic mural where personal expressions came together in a shared artwork.

The mosaic was later exhibited at Flen Library throughout the summer. The project emphasized openness, accessibility, and participation, demonstrating how art pedagogy can foster community, place-based storytelling, and collective authorship.
