Hi there— I’m Yanina Casanova, a cultural producer, curator, artist, and art educator based in Stockholm. My practice moves between artistic creation, exhibition production, and community-based cultural work, guided by the belief that art can serve as a democratic space where diverse expressions, perspectives, and identities can coexist and create new narratives.
As a cultural producer and curator, I focus on site-specific projects that emphasize participation, inclusion, and long-term relationship building. I view cultural production as a tool for decolonization and, importantly, reconstruction — the collective rebuilding of cultural and social structures in more inclusive and imaginative ways.
As an artist, I work with printmaking techniques, mural painting, hair art, and photography. Rooted in graffiti and photographic art, my work explores identity, space, and collective expression.
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Education from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design and have extensive experience working at the intersection of art, community, and education. My work continues to explore how art can be a force for participation, belonging, and social change.
